Fishing for rainbow trout & rainbow salmon

Image

Where is the rainbow? Just like the salmon, the rainbow is also cultivated in Sweden and is therefore not a natural fish species.  Therefore, it is interesting that it has become one of the most popular fish species to fart after in Sweden. The presence of the rainbow in our Swedish natural waters is usually a consequence of escape from farms, because they have problems reproducing under Swedish conditions. You will find rainbow trout along Scania's south coast, the eastern parts of the Baltic Sea and basically all   put & take waters  in Sweden. Age & size Most often, the ...

Fish Aquariums

Fish keeping as a hobby has many benefits. After setting up a saltwater aquarium by yourself, you will now be able to relax and enjoy the graceful movements of the fishes , and feast your eyes on the beautiful sight inside the tank. With saltwater aquariums, compared to freshwater ones, you have a wider selection of which fish to keep because saltwater fish comes from the vast oceans and seas. If saltwater aquariums interest you, you should be aware that saltwater fishes for such are sensitive to a change in the environment , and because they are caught in the sea, the cost of handling and shipping them is expensive. Before setting up a saltwater tank, you should first buy the necessary equipments and supplies. You would want to create a marine inhabitant suitable for your saltwater species. One important thing to include in your list is heaters. They are used to regulate the temperature inside the tank for the fishes, especially tropical ones, to survive. Furthermore, you will need po...

Fish are made to eat different kinds of food

Image
The fish in the different groups often have different body shapes and different teeth that have been adapted to “ grab ” the food they prefer.  What is even more important is that the stomach and especially the intestines have also been adapted to a certain kind of food.  The pismires, (which are part of the carnivora group) that eat other fish, usually have a very short intestine and a large food sac, which has room for larger prey.  That food is easily digested and therefore does not need a long intestine.  In omnivores, the intestine is longer.  The intestine of herbivores is extremely long and adapted for hard-to-digest plant fibers. Alternating fish Fish are warm-blooded (cold-blooded) animals and cannot assimilate fat from warm-blooded animals (mammals) in the same way as fats and proteins from aquatic animals.  Instead, it passes almost undigested through the fish's digestive tract and contaminates the aquarium water .  It has even been ...

Millions and millions of people depend on fishing, both as a source of food and as a source of income.  At the same time, fishing is also one of the biggest threats to marine life due to overfishing, bycatch, littering and the destruction of marine habitats. The sea is not feeling well Many fish stocks are in  bad shape and there is a lot of overfishing. Globally, today roughly 90 percent of all commercial fish stocks are either maximally exploited or overfished. Today, only about one percent of the world's oceans are protected areas. Every year, many millions of tons of plastic are dumped in the oceans. Add to this climate change, acidification, eutrophication as well as habitat destruction and loss of species – it is clear that our oceans are in crisis. The well-being of the oceans is absolutely crucial for our health, food supply and for millions of jobs in the world. Today, 850 million people depend on healthy oceans for their jobs and food supply, and three bill...
